Although Shein primarily operates online, it occasionally sets up temporary physical stores in different locations, surprising customers like Crystal, who shared her discovery on TikTok.
In the video, Crystal showcased the Shein store in Crete, displaying various items like clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories priced at €6 (£5.24). The unexpected presence of Shein in a traditional market like Crete drew attention from both tourists and locals.
The TikTok video went viral, accumulating 5.9 million views, 587,500 likes, and over 3,600 comments, with viewers expressing surprise and excitement over the physical store’s existence in Greece.
Despite Shein’s global presence with pop-up stores worldwide, including the UK, US, Spain, Italy, South Africa, and Dubai, the company has never established a permanent physical store. Last year, unauthorized Shein stores appeared in Greece, prompting the company to clarify that they are exclusively an online platform and have no plans for physical stores.
