The company that owns Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, operating under the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs brands across 62 venues, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales.
According to reports from Sky News, interested parties must submit their offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the sale procedure. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective’s sites, although their participation in the bidding remains uncertain.
In response to inquiries, The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, for a statement. The company had previously started a sales process in April 2024 but discontinued it after turning down an offer from Nightcap. As part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court, around 36 sites were closed in 2024.
In an update in October 2025, company executives cited ongoing challenging economic conditions and government interventions for hindering their recovery efforts since the restructuring. Revenue decreased by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading up to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% drop in like-for-like sales in the bars segment.
The company attributed the sales decline to cost-of-living pressures on its younger clientele and reported a rise in debts to £25.3 million from £22.1 million. Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express executive, assumed the role of Chairman of The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman, with a focus on pursuing strategic acquisitions.
