“Darts Champ Luke Littler Aces Driving Test Challenges”

Date:

Darts sensation Luke Littler is overjoyed after successfully passing his driving test following a series of challenges. The world champion managed to ace his practical test on the first try, but his theory test proved to be more demanding.

At the age of 18, Littler faced six failed attempts before finally achieving a passing grade on his theory exam. Now, he holds a valid driver’s license, with Colin Price Driving School commemorating the milestone by sharing a photo of the accomplished darts player on social media, which Littler then reposted.

The driving school’s caption read, “Congratulations to Luke Littler on acing his driving test today in Warrington on his first attempt with a flawless performance. An exceptional accomplishment – now it’s time to enjoy that new car.”

During the summer, Littler disclosed his fifth unsuccessful theory test results, expressing his determination to overcome the setbacks. Despite a narrow margin of success on his most recent theory test in September, Littler left nothing to chance during the practical examination.

Earlier, when Littler clinched the world title in January 2025, he revealed plans to allocate part of his prize earnings towards purchasing a new vehicle. However, he acknowledged the urgency of passing his driving test promptly.

“I’ve always had a fondness for the Mercedes A-Class,” Littler remarked. “Last year, I was eyeing Ford Focuses for driving, but now, with my new status in the world, I’ve set my sights a bit higher! What specific model? I’m not sure, just an A-Class. I’m not well-versed in the different models.”

“I need to complete my lessons before I reach my twenties; otherwise, I might lose interest. It won’t be a birthday gift; I see it as a self-reward,” he added.

Littler’s recent achievement coincides with his preparation for defending his title at the PDC World Championship in December. While securing a spot in the Players Championship Finals, Littler faced an early exit at the European Championship against James Wade.

In the upcoming Players Championship Finals, Littler is set to face Jeffrey De Graaf of Sweden in the opening round, with the potential of meeting Ross Smith or Niko Springer in the subsequent round. Positioned in the opposite bracket from world No.1 Luke Humphries, Littler may encounter tough competition from top seed Gerwyn Price.

Among the notable participants qualifying for the forthcoming World Championship through merit is Littler. The tournament, commencing on December 11 at Alexandra Palace, introduces a format adjustment where the 32 seeded players, including Littler, no longer receive automatic byes to the second round.
