“Android Users Face Battery Drain Bug Post-Update”

Date:

Some Android device users are facing a concerning issue where their phone batteries are rapidly draining even when not in use. This problem seems to have emerged following a recent software update. Numerous Android users have taken to online forums to express their frustrations, with one individual mentioning the need to charge their phone three times a day to maintain battery power.

The battery drain bug appears to be affecting Google’s Pixel phone lineup, and the tech giant has acknowledged the issue and is working on a solution. Impacted devices include the Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel 7A.

According to findings by 9to5Google, the issue is believed to be linked to excessive CPU wakeups, causing the phone to operate continuously in the background even when idle. Users like Phil and Fz have reported significant battery drainage on their Pixel devices since a specific update, experiencing rapid battery depletion and slow charging.

On the other hand, not all Pixel users are facing the same battery drain problem, with individuals like Warren noting normal battery performance on their Pixel 9 Pro. Google is actively investigating the issue and is expected to release an update soon to address the battery drain concerns. Updates on this matter will be provided as soon as new information is available.
