“Dollyfest to Pay Tribute to ‘Queen of Country’ in 2027”

Date:

Dollyfest, a music festival originally planned to celebrate Dolly Parton’s 80th birthday, will now be a tribute to the late singer’s life. Despite her recent passing, the estate has confirmed that the “star-studded” event will take place in Nashville and London over two weekends in 2027.

Dolly, known as the “Queen of Country,” passed away at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of beloved songs like “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “9 to 5,” as well as her philanthropic efforts and sparkling personality. The festival aims to honor her memory with a celebration that reflects her vibrant spirit.

Details about the festival, including the specific dates and lineup of musical acts, are yet to be revealed. However, organizer Danny Nozell has assured that the event will capture the essence of what Dolly envisioned, providing a platform for artists and fans worldwide to come together in her honor.

In addition to Dollyfest, various tributes are being planned to commemorate the iconic singer. Dollywood, the theme park founded by Dolly in the Great Smoky Mountains, will introduce new attractions and exhibits in 2027 to pay homage to her legacy. Guests will have the opportunity to share their memories and experiences of Dolly through interactive kiosks, allowing them to contribute to the park’s tribute to the “Dreamer in Chief.”

Moreover, Dolly’s hometown of Sevierville, Tenn., is launching a project called “In Dolly’s Footsteps” in collaboration with Dollywood. This project will include walking-tour markers at key locations in Dolly’s life story, such as The Pines Theatre where she began her musical journey at a young age.

The enduring impact of Dolly Parton continues to be celebrated through these memorials and tributes, ensuring that her spirit and contributions to music and philanthropy are remembered for generations to come.
