Russian Propagandist Calls for UK Destruction

Date:

In a recent alarming statement, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested that Russia should destroy the UK, referring to it as a “satanic island,” in the context of potential World War Three threats.

Vladimir Solovyov, a key figure in Russian propaganda, made these disturbing comments on a Russian state TV program. He downplayed recent incidents of fighter jets breaching NATO countries’ airspace, instead focusing on what he perceived as provocations from the West, particularly concerning Tomahawk missiles.

During his show “Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov,” Solovyov, accompanied by military expert Evgeny Buzhinsky, implied that Ukrainians might be willing to use Tomahawk missiles against Russia. This possibility has raised concerns, especially as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reportedly sought Tomahawk missile supplies from the US through European intermediaries.

Responding to Buzhinsky’s remarks on Ukraine’s potential use of Tomahawk missiles, Solovyov shockingly suggested targeting the UK for destruction. He criticized Europe for what he perceived as a lack of defense commitment from the United States, justifying the need to take action against Britain due to recent developments within the Church of England.

Solovyov specifically highlighted the appointment of Sarah Mullally as the Archbishop of Canterbury, the first woman to hold this position in the history of Anglican Christianity. This event seemed to fuel his anti-British sentiments.

In a subsequent exchange, Buzhinsky and Solovyov discussed potential targets for Russian aggression, with Solovyov expressing disdain for Baltic states and advocating for striking countries that actively confront Russia, particularly in Western Europe.

The escalating rhetoric from Russian figures like Solovyov underscores the growing tensions and geopolitical complexities in the region. The implications of such statements raise concerns about the potential for further hostilities and the need for diplomatic efforts to mitigate the risk of conflict.
