Premium Bonds results for December 2025 were revealed today, bringing good fortune to two individuals who are now £1 million richer.
Each month, two lucky individuals win £1 million through Premium Bonds. In the latest draw for December 2025, the first winner hails from Norwich and holds £35,000 worth of Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 591RD417238, purchased in August 2024.
The second £1 million winner resides in Cornwall and has £20,000 invested in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 615WP633178 acquired in February 2025.
Premium Bonds, offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), differ from traditional savings accounts as they enter holders into a monthly prize draw instead of offering a fixed interest rate.
Prizes in the Premium Bonds range from £25 to £1 million, with the majority of prizes being smaller amounts. Winning is not guaranteed, so some months may yield no returns on Premium Bonds.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I Retail Director, congratulated the winners, highlighting the joy of becoming millionaires just in time for Christmas. In the December draw, over six million prizes are up for grabs, including 77 prizes of £100,000 and 153 prizes of £50,000.
With Premium Bonds, individuals can invest up to £50,000, receiving a unique bond number for each £1 invested. The odds of winning a prize each month stand at 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond.
Winners are notified via email or text message by NS&I and can choose to have their prize deposited into their bank account or reinvested in more Premium Bonds. Tools like the NS&I online prize checker or the Premium Bonds prize checker app can help winners verify their prizes.
The prize fund rate, currently at 3.60%, acts similarly to an interest rate for Premium Bonds. Despite a slight decrease in the prize fund rate in recent months, two £1 million prizes are still awarded monthly. As of now, nearly 23 million individuals hold Premium Bonds.
