Tubi App Expands Free Streaming Content Library for UK Viewers
Looking for fresh entertainment options without breaking the bank on platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, or Disney+? Consider downloading the Tubi app on your Fire TV Stick. Tubi, which debuted in the UK last year, offers a wide range of free streaming content.
Recently, Tubi announced a significant upgrade to its content library, now boasting over 40,000 movies and shows available for free – double the amount it had in 2024. Starting this month, viewers can enjoy content from major studios like AMC Networks, Lionsgate, and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The expanded library includes popular titles such as Ghostbusters (2016), District 9, Elysium, I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), Resident Evil series, The Mist, The Devil You Know, Remember Me, and Redemption (2013). More content from premium studios is expected to be added soon.
Ross Appleton, General Manager, UK at Tubi, stated, “Since its UK launch nearly a year ago, Tubi has doubled its library size, solidifying its position as the largest collection of free movies and TV series in the UK. In response to rising streaming costs and fragmentation, Tubi remains committed to offering viewers a wide selection of content and a personalized viewing experience, all at no cost.”
In addition to Fire TV Sticks, the Tubi app is available on various devices, including Apple TV, most smart TVs, and smartphones. Users can also access Tubi via the web and utilize the search function to find content tailored to their preferences.
While Tubi may not feature the latest blockbuster releases, it offers a diverse range of free content for viewers to enjoy at their convenience.
