The 79-year-old made this revelation while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, mentioning that the scan took place at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, a facility commonly chosen by U.S. presidents for healthcare needs.
Trump, who is on track to become the oldest president in U.S. history if he completes his term, has faced mounting scrutiny in recent times following observations of recurring bruises on his hand. In July, the White House confirmed that Trump sought medical evaluation for leg swelling and was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
When asked about his hospital visit, Trump confirmed the MRI scan results were perfect, emphasizing the thoroughness of the examination. He asserted that his accompanying medical team provided him with exceptional reports, highlighting his overall health. A medical memo from his physician, Capt Sean Barbarella, revealed that Trump’s heart age was determined to be significantly younger than his actual age through various assessments, including advanced imaging and lab tests.
Following his medical check-up, Trump landed in Japan for an official visit, where he is scheduled to meet with Japan’s new Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, the country’s first female leader. During his stay, Trump also greeted Japanese Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace, expressing admiration for him as a “great man.”
In a show of welcome, Japan illuminated several iconic landmarks in Tokyo with the colors of the American flag, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations.
