Donald and Melania Trump were seen having a heated discussion while onboard Marine One, the US President’s helicopter, following a busy day at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. President Trump, 79, gestured towards First Lady Melania, 55, as they conversed inside the helicopter on Wednesday evening.
Upon landing, the couple displayed a different demeanor as they held hands while walking across the South Lawn into The White House. Earlier at the UN, the President claimed that he and his wife were victims of “triple sabotage” after an escalator incident where the escalator they were on malfunctioned.
During his UN address, Trump criticized the organization, alleging that the escalator incident could have led to potential harm for him and Melania. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned that UN staff had joked about tampering with the escalator as a prank, prompting Trump to label the incident as sabotage and demanded action.
Trump and Melania, who wed in 2005 and have a son, Barron Trump, have faced public scrutiny about their relationship. Melania has been observed rejecting her husband’s attempts to hold hands and has been seen wearing oversized hats to avoid his advances.
