A new channel has recently been introduced to Freeview, offering viewers a wider range of entertainment options previously only available through paid services like Sky and Virgin Media. TLC, known for popular reality shows such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, now features additional content like sitcoms and blockbuster movies.
Freeview users can now enjoy shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with movies like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on TLC, which is accessible on channel 12. Some viewers may need to retune their TVs to access the channel after the recent update.
In addition to TLC’s launch, there will be a minor reshuffling of channels, with Quest moving from Ch12 to Ch17, and Really relocating from Ch17 to Ch44. Unfortunately, Freeview has announced the closure of HGTV, leading to the removal of programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform, along with channels such as HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
The new channel lineup includes TLC on Ch12 and TLC+1 on Ch99, alongside channel moves for Quest to Ch17 and Really to Ch44. The channels being closed are HGTV, God TV, and India Today.
