A teacher was reportedly blackmailed, raped, and had her apartment burglarized and set on fire by a gang of schoolboys. The woman, aged 28, endured torment from seven teenagers aged between 14 and 17 in Austria from May 2024 to January 2025 after entering a consensual relationship with a 17-year-old former student.
According to court proceedings, the former student boasted about the relationship to friends, leading to a group of boys visiting the teacher’s residence. The teenagers, claiming affiliation with a criminal gang, coerced their way into her flat and used it as a hideout for drug storage. They allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, extorted her with recordings, and made her cover their expenses.
The gang recorded the assaults and threatened to expose them, forcing the teacher into compliance out of fear for her job. The situation escalated to thefts and culminated in a fire being set to destroy evidence in January 2025. Although the defendants confessed to the burglary, they denied intentionally starting the fire, maintaining that the encounters were consensual.
Prosecutors revealed that the gang, consisting of around 70 to 80 members, engaged in criminal activities, with evidence showing a pattern of intimidation since May 2024. The teacher’s distress led her to call in sick at the beginning of the school year and face escalated abuse by November of the same year. The trial is scheduled to proceed on October 15.
