Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following the announcement of a new price hike. The majority of customers will witness a £1.50 per month raise, totaling an annual increment of £18, although some may face varying adjustments.
The revised charges will take effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first instance Sky Mobile has altered prices for customers under contract in over seven years. Subscribers dissatisfied with the increase and within the minimum contract period can terminate their package without incurring early termination fees.
Notably, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to individuals with limited income, will remain unchanged. Sky attributed the price adjustment to escalating wholesale network expenses and assured customers of timely notifications regarding bill alterations.
A spokesperson for Sky Mobile stated, “To sustain the quality, service, and value our customers expect, most Sky Mobile subscribers will encounter a £1.50 surge in their monthly bill starting February. This decision is made after careful consideration, as we have refrained from mid-contract mobile price increments for more than seven years.”
The adjustment follows O2’s announcement of a £2.50 monthly increase for nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract customers from April 2026, up from the initially proposed £1.80 raise. Moreover, Three mobile customers opting for a data plan of 4GB or less will face a £1.80 monthly rise from April 2026, an 80p increment compared to the current £1 raise.
Customers selecting plans between 4GB and 100GB will experience a £1.90 monthly increase, while those with over 100GB will witness a £2.30 surge starting April 2026. Three broadband users are set to encounter a £3.50 monthly cost escalation from the same period.
Vodafone mobile subscribers entering deals from November 12 will notice a £2.50 monthly bill rise, with Basics SIM plan users facing a £1.50 increment. Additionally, Vodafone broadband consumers will be subjected to a £3.50 monthly price hike. Existing Vodafone or Three contract holders will experience the pre-agreed price increments.
