Rachel Reeves has criticized Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, labeling it as the primary threat to working individuals throughout the UK.
The Chancellor expressed concerns that the right-wing party could divide communities and families if it secures power in the upcoming general election. She also cautioned that the group led by the former Ukip leader is closely associated with Valdimir Putin, contrasting the government’s stance of solidarity with global allies.
Delivering her address at Labour’s annual conference, Ms. Reeves asserted, “The most significant challenge to our way of life and the livelihoods of working people stems from Nigel Farage’s and the Reform party’s agenda.
“Regardless of the misinformation they spread, the simplistic solutions they offer, and their readiness to sow discord within communities and families, they do not stand with working people. This is a battle we must prevail in, and one we will emerge victorious from.”

Reeves’ remarks followed Keir Starmer’s criticism of Reform’s proposals to revoke essential rights for migrants, describing the plan as discriminatory and unethical during an interview.
During her keynote speech on Monday, the Chancellor pushed back against left-wing critics urging for increased spending prior to the November Budget.
She emphasized the challenges posed by severe global conditions, asserting the need to maintain the trust bestowed upon them by the British populace and dismissing calls for unrestricted spending as perilous.
