Peppa Pig, Wicked dolls, Formula 1 Lego, and Hot Wheels have been identified as key toy choices for the upcoming Christmas season. Industry specialists and toy vendors have shared their predictions for the top-selling items expected to feature on the 2025 DreamToys list.
One standout product is the Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, which boasts more than 20 interactive sounds and is accompanied by a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket. Another popular choice is the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, allowing children to care for and play with their very own dinosaur by hatching it from an egg shell.
The Wicked For Good Singing Dolls have also made the coveted list, with sales projected to surge following the release of the franchise’s second and final movie this month. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Formula 1 is represented by Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit, along with the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC.
Furthermore, collectibles such as Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon are also anticipated to be in high demand. Building sets, particularly Lego, continue to dominate the market, with offerings like Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and the One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship.
The UK toy industry currently stands at a value of £3.9 billion, with Christmas sales projected to contribute 23% of the total annual revenue. Parents’ spending on gifts for their children has increased by 12% year-on-year, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth, as reported by market intelligence firm The Insights Family.
Paul Reader, chair of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, commented on the exciting and diverse range of toys featured on this year’s list, designed to inspire creativity and imagination. Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, expressed positivity surrounding the industry’s growth, signaling a promising outlook for toy manufacturers and retailers heading into the crucial holiday season.
