Liam Gallagher thrilled his fans by announcing their next meeting in the following year after Oasis wrapped up their final UK performance. The Gallagher siblings’ tour began in the summer and then took them to the US and Mexico before culminating with two shows at Wembley Stadium.
During their last show on Sunday night, Liam expressed gratitude to the audience for supporting the band and bringing them back into the spotlight. He ended his speech with “Champagne supernova, see you next year.” Following their reunion shows at Wembley Stadium over the weekend, Oasis is set to head to Japan, South Korea, Australia, and South America.
Every night, the brothers took the stage hand-in-hand, starting with the song “Hello” from their 1995 album “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?” with Liam holding a maraca.
Sticking to the same setlist, the Live 25 Tour by the band featured classics like “Some Might Say,” “Morning Glory,” and “Roll With It.”
After announcing their reunion tour in August last year, 16 years post their split in 2009 due to a backstage altercation at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, Oasis made a successful comeback.
In honor of boxer Ricky Hatton, who passed away at 46 earlier this month, the band dedicated their hit “Live Forever” during Saturday night’s performance. A picture of Hatton, a friend of both brothers, was displayed on the screen, receiving cheers from the crowd.
The show concluded with a trio of their popular tracks – “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” “Wonderwall,” and “Champagne Supernova.”
Hinting at a potential return in 2026, Liam, before the final song on Saturday night, conveyed to fans, “Thank you for keeping the faith. See you next year.” Speculations suggest a comeback performance at Knebworth, where they held memorable gigs in 1996.
