“NYPD Detective Impersonates Security at Ryder Cup”

Date:

An NYPD detective reportedly appeared at the Ryder Cup golf tournament in New York in full tactical gear, claiming to be providing security for President Trump while allegedly being on sick leave.

The detective, identified as Melvin Eng, is now facing administrative charges for theft of services after dropping his gun magazine in front of actual security personnel at the event, as per law enforcement sources and NYPD records.

A veteran officer expressed discontent about the situation, stating, “You’re out sick, so what are you doing at the Ryder Cup? That’s not acceptable. It’s theft of services because he entered for free and falsely claimed he was working for Donald Trump.”

Eng, aged 46 and serving as president of the NYPD Asian Jade Society, allegedly managed to gain access to the tournament at Bethpage Black by impersonating a security detail for the visiting president.

However, his ruse was uncovered when he dropped his magazine, leading to his swift removal from the premises. Subsequently, Eng was suspended on Monday, according to official NYPD documentation.

Questions arose about potential security risks, with one police insider asking, “What if he intended to cause harm? He made it in with his weapon, bypassing the Secret Service and state police.”

When contacted by a journalist, Eng abruptly ended the call, saying, “I’m sorry, I gotta go.”

The US President, known for his love of golf and hailing from New York, made an appearance at the Ryder Cup by flying in via Air Force One to support his country.

During the tournament, Europe took a substantial lead, extending it to seven points by the end of Saturday. The final day saw a spirited comeback by the USA team led by Keegan Bradley, making it a tense finale before Europe clinched victory amidst a charged atmosphere at Bethpage Black.

Amid the celebrations, Team Europe players sent a video message to Trump, singing, “Are you watching, Donald Trump?” with the Ryder Cup trophy in view. Trump responded on Truth Social, acknowledging the win with a congratulatory message.
