In the quest for budget-friendly beach destinations, Nessebar, located on a small peninsula in Bulgaria, has been identified as the best value option. EasyJet has curated an index aimed at enticing vacationers to explore less-crowded beach locations during the off-peak season.
Referred to as the Pearl of the Black Sea, Nessebar is a captivating destination in Bulgaria, blending historical richness, cultural allure, and seaside appeal. It features picturesque cobblestone streets, a renowned seafood scene, and a backdrop of the scenic Strandzha Mountains and the lush Ropotamo Nature Reserve.
With a history dating back over 3,000 years, Nessebar was initially a Thracian settlement that later evolved into a Greek colony in the 6th century BC. The city preserves remnants from its Hellenistic period, including the acropolis, a temple of Apollo, an agora, and remnants of Thracian fortifications. The 19th-century houses reflect the architectural style of the Black Sea region during that era. These historical sites attract visitors seeking cultural immersion.

For travelers from the UK, the most convenient way to reach Nessebar is by flying into Bourgas Airport, just a short transfer away from the resort. Flights from various UK airports, such as Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, Nottingham, and London Luton, are available starting from £19 for a one-way trip in October.
Following closely on easyJet’s Cheap Beach list are the Budva Riviera in Montenegro, known for its picturesque beaches along a 35-kilometer stretch of the Adriatic coast, and the Costa de Almería in Spain, celebrated for the unique Tabernas Desert and its golden shorelines.
