McDonald’s in the UK is introducing eight international items to its menu for the first time starting today. The offerings include burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and beverages from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, as well as desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Launching on October 22, the new menu will be available for six weeks. Among the highlights is the Maple BBQ and Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada, featuring two quarter pounder beef patties with maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, and pickles.
Another addition is the Pineapple McSpicy from Australia, a spicy chicken burger topped with pineapple, bacon, cheese, and lettuce. From Japan, there are Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets, made of 100% chicken breast meat in a crispy coating with garlic and black pepper, served with a garlic and soy mayo dip.
Poland contributes with Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries, regular fries with a twist of sour cream and black pepper seasoning. The United Arab Emirates offers Mac and Cheese Triangles, macaroni pasta in cheddar cheese sauce, coated in breadcrumbs and served with tomato ketchup dip.
For dessert, there’s the Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia, a chocolatey treat with molten caramel and chocolate ganache. Additionally, two new McFlurries from Malaysia are available, the Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, featuring creamy soft serve swirled with pretzel pieces and either chocolate or caramel sauce.
To complement the meal, McDonald’s presents the Sakura x Sprite drink from Japan, described as a floral and fizzy refreshment.
