“Gmail Users Warned: Disable AI Email Scanning Now!”

Date:

An important alert has been issued to numerous Gmail users regarding concerns about AI scanning emails. The warning, shared by TV personality and entrepreneur Lori Greiner on Instagram, urges users to be cautious.

The caution arises from Google’s new AI features that scan inboxes for smart searches, contextual replies, and email summaries. While Google asserts that it does not read messages for its own purposes, Greiner remains apprehensive.

According to Greiner, Gmail users should not overlook this warning as AI is scanning all emails, including financial documents, tax information, and personal conversations without users’ knowledge.

To address this issue, users can easily disable the AI scanning feature in Gmail settings. By following simple steps such as accessing Settings, turning off smart features, and managing workspace smart features, users can prevent Google from scanning their messages.

Google emphasizes that personal data is not viewed by its team or third parties and assures users that their data is secure. The tech giant clarifies that AI models like Gemini in Gmail are only used for specific tasks and do not retain any personal data.

If the idea of AI scanning emails is unsettling, users have the option to disable the smart features in Gmail settings.
