“Gallagher Brothers Rally for Ailing Oasis Bandmate”

Date:

Liam and Noel Gallagher have broken their silence following the announcement by their Oasis bandmate, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, that he is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and will be missing some upcoming tour dates. In a statement addressing Bonehead’s diagnosis, the Gallagher brothers expressed their support and well wishes for his treatment, assuring him of their anticipation to see him back on stage in South America.

A source close to Oasis revealed that the band was aware of Bonehead’s condition from the beginning and fully supported him. While they hoped he could join the tour, Liam and Noel prioritized his health above all else. It is likely that a replacement will step in on rhythm guitar for the dates Bonehead cannot perform.

In a message to fans, Bonehead confirmed his prostate cancer diagnosis but shared positive news about his response to treatment. He expressed regret for missing upcoming shows in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney but promised to return for the South America leg of the tour in November.

Bonehead’s role has been instrumental in reuniting Liam and Noel for the band’s highly successful world tour. The current tour marks Oasis’s return to live performances after nearly 16 years, with their recent shows in Cardiff drawing massive crowds and ending speculations about the brothers’ relationship mending.

Earlier in 2022, Arthurs faced health challenges when diagnosed with tonsil cancer, but he successfully completed treatment. The guitarist’s popularity among fans was evident when he humorously responded to a complaint about the setlist remaining unchanged on social media.
