In a shocking turn of events, a dentist confessed to a neighbor his resentment toward his parents for pressuring him into the dental profession before carrying out the murder of his mother at their lavish Beverly Hills residence in a bid to claim a portion of her substantial $12 million estate.
The perpetrator, Daniel Yacobi, committed the heinous act by strangling his 67-year-old mother, Violet, to death in 2017. Authorities took action after a coroner’s ruling classified her death as a homicide, following growing concerns when she failed to respond to a call from her brother on October 10, 2017.
Violet’s untimely demise, discovered at the foot of the grand staircase in her $8 million home, was deemed out of character for her, having recently mourned the loss of her husband Solomon, a physician who passed away in 2016.
Initially evading authorities, Daniel posted a heartfelt message on Facebook on what would have been Violet’s 68th birthday, before ultimately being apprehended and charged with murder in the following year.
