London Fashion Week made a dazzling return showcasing fresh creativity and new collections. Among the renowned designer labels and stunning runways, a notable trend making waves is the concept of delicate fashion.
At St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden, Turkish designer Bora Aksu presented his Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which was adorned with exquisite rose bushes.
Aksu found inspiration for this year’s collection in his personal collection of shattered porcelain dolls. Embracing imperfections and fractures, he redefined fragility as a form of strength, love, and resilience.
The models graced the catwalk in layers of lace, sheer fabrics, and intricately hand-embroidered mesh in soft pastel hues like blush pinks, gentle corals, soft peaches, and muted blues. Their ensembles narrated a tale of vulnerability, embodying the essence of “fragile fashion.”
Before the show, Aksu expressed, “Broken dolls reminded me that beauty is found in traces of love, time, and survival,” emphasizing that flaws should be seen as symbols of resilience and beauty rather than hidden.
The collection also showcased delicate elements such as lace bonnets and intentionally visible loose threads, inviting viewers to appreciate the subtle details.
Every year ushers in a new fashion trend, captivating the public’s attention. Fragile fashion, with its emphasis on delicate fabrics, pastel tones, and handcrafted intricacies, has recently emerged as a prominent trend reflecting a broader industry shift towards self-acceptance and embracing imperfections.
Social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram under the hashtag #FragileFashion, have played a pivotal role in popularizing this trend. Users have flaunted outfits that embrace softness, layering, and imperfections, propelling fragile fashion into the limelight.
Bora Aksu stands at the forefront of this movement, demonstrating that fashion can be both aesthetically pleasing and a compelling form of storytelling. His latest collection epitomizes the celebration of fragility and imperfection, championing the beauty of human authenticity.
This trend survey reflects the audience’s engagement and support in shaping future content strategies to deliver what resonates with them best.
