LG TV owners are in for a treat this holiday season as LG has unveiled a significant enhancement to its LG Channels platform, offering a plethora of new features and additional free content, including Sky programming. The recent update, now being progressively released, enables users of select LG screens to access Sky Sports Stories, Sky Sports Vault, and Sky Sports Classics without requiring a subscription. LG has also incorporated the Sky News channel into its free lineup.
Moreover, the upgrade introduces a variety of new content options, such as LG1 Christmas for festive entertainment, the FIFA+ Women Channel for soccer enthusiasts, and the DP World Tour for golf aficionados. These additions, like all LG Channels, are FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) services, meaning viewers will encounter advertisements during their viewing experience.
In addition to the new channels, the update includes broader enhancements like personalized content recommendations and an updated user interface to simplify and expedite the process of finding something to watch. A novel “Quick Access” feature permits viewers to swiftly access channel information, the TV guide, favorites, and popular content by pressing the “OK” button on the LG Magic Remote while watching a program.

The latest upgrade, encompassing a new logo and enhanced personalization features, is designed to enhance the viewing experience for millions of users worldwide.
