A man in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, was startled when his Ring video doorbell captured what he believes to be a ghostly figure passing by his home. Shane Irwin, a horror enthusiast, received a notification from his smart doorbell indicating someone at his front door, only to find no one present upon review. The footage revealed a white shadow moving along the sidewalk before vanishing, adding to the eerie atmosphere as Shane resides across from a cemetery.
Fascinated by the paranormal, Shane described the experience as “amazing” and strongly believes the apparition he witnessed was a ghost. The incident, occurring in broad daylight, stood out to him as typically such occurrences are associated with nighttime settings. The clear and distinct nature of the sighting further convinced Shane, who shared the video with friends and family who share his belief in ghosts.
In a separate incident at Oxford Castle, a tourist captured a photo resembling a historic ghost known as Empress Matilda. The figure, clad in white, was seen in a doorway linked to the legendary escape of Empress Matilda during a siege in the 12th century. The tourist, Lewy Jones, unintentionally took the photo while descending the castle’s stairs, later noticing the ghostly figure in the image. The resemblance of the figure to the historical accounts of Empress Matilda’s escape added to the mystery surrounding the sighting.
