Children’s TV icon Johnny Ball has disclosed his private battle with prostate cancer. The 87-year-old, renowned for his appearances on Play School starting in 1967, shared with The Mirror that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2022. Following three months of radiation treatment, he happily announced that he has successfully overcome the illness.
Johnny, who undergoes regular check-ups, emphasizes the importance of not taking survival from prostate cancer for granted. Reflecting on the losses of his friends Harry Secombe and Bob Monkhouse to the disease, Johnny acknowledges his fortune in being able to receive a cure for it.
