“Noel Clarke Faces Legal Action for Sexual Offenses”

Date:

Noel Clarke, renowned for his role in the science fiction series “Doctor Who,” faces legal action as England and Wales’ Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has disclosed that he is charged with six sexual offenses. These charges include two counts of sexual assault, one charge of exposure, and three charges of voyeurism. Voyeurism, as defined by CPS, involves observing or recording someone engaging in a private act without their consent, typically for sexual gratification.

The alleged offenses linked to Clarke span from 2007 to 2016 and are based on accusations from five women. This development comes five years after a Guardian expose revealed claims of harassment, groping, and bullying by 20 women, some of whom reported being sexually harassed or inappropriately touched during the filming of “Doctor Who,” allegations Clarke vehemently denied.

The recent charges followed an investigation that commenced in September 2025, as reported by The Guardian. Clarke is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21.

Apart from his role in “Doctor Who,” Clarke is recognized for his work in writing, acting, and directing the teen crime dramas “Kidulthood” (2006), “Adulthood” (2008), and “Brotherhood” (2016), which delve into themes of drug abuse, bullying, and violence in London’s streets. Additionally, he directed “Adulthood” and directed and produced “Brotherhood.” His filmography also includes appearances in “Centurion” (2010), “Fast Girls” (2012), “Star Trek Into Darkness” (2013), and the TV series “Bulletproof” (2018-2021).
