Nick faced formal charges on July 20 for two counts of first-degree murder in relation to the deaths of his renowned father, Rob Reiner, a multifaceted Hollywood figure, and his mother, Michele, a talented photographer and producer. Despite pleading not guilty, the LA County grand jury, in an indictment unveiled on August 12, alleged that Nick, who had a well-documented history of mental health issues and substance abuse struggles, had premeditated the attack on his parents.
The Reiner father-son duo had collaborated on a film titled “Being Charlie” in 2016, inspired by Nick’s personal battles with addiction.
