In a statement released by his publisher, Simon & Schuster U.K., Arday’s family expressed shock at the loss of their beloved father, partner, brother, uncle, and son. They mentioned that the misinformation campaign had taken a toll on Jason, a kind-hearted individual who always sought the best in others. The family highlighted that Arday had endured three years of sustained abuse from those seeking to undermine him.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the death of a 41-year-old man in Battersea, indicating that the incident was unexpected but not suspicious. Cambridge’s vice-chancellor, Deborah Prentice, conveyed deep sadness at the news, offering condolences to Arday’s family and friends during this challenging period.
U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham described Arday’s passing as a tragedy on multiple levels, emphasizing the need for reflection rather than hasty judgments.
