“Actor Dylan Walsh Teases Possible New Episodes of ‘Heated Rivalry'”

Date:

Actor Dylan Walsh, known for his role in “Heated Rivalry,” sparked speculation among fans by suggesting that a dozen new episodes could be in the works for the popular hockey romance series. Walsh, a 62-year-old American actor, shared this information in a video on the Cameo platform, where celebrities create personalized videos for fans. TikTok user Savannah Leigh later reposted the video, mentioning it was a birthday gift from Walsh.

Although Walsh portrays the father of hockey player Shane Hollander, played by Canadian actor Hudson Williams, in the show, his remarks about filming additional episodes hinted at potential new seasons. Walsh expressed his love for the series and hinted at shooting 12 new episodes during his time in Canada.

However, Walsh’s disclosure may have been premature, as he later issued an apology and temporarily halted his Cameo account. In his statement to CBC News, Walsh clarified that his comments were speculative and unauthorized. He expressed regret for any confusion caused to fans and the production team.

Despite Walsh’s slip-up, the show’s representatives have not responded to inquiries regarding his statements. Alongside his role in “Heated Rivalry,” Walsh has featured in various TV series such as “Nip/Tuck,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and “Superman & Lois,” as well as movies like “Congo” (1995) and “The Stepfather” (2009).

Fans have been buzzing with excitement and discussions about the show, which is available on Crave, Bell Media’s streaming platform. Recent incidents, including the show’s creator Jacob Tierney requesting space at production locations and backlash over casting choices, have kept fans engaged.

Walsh’s video has triggered speculation about potential new seasons, with some fans suggesting that production might be underway for both the second and a yet unannounced third season. The first season of “Heated Rivalry” consisted of six episodes, and Tierney previously indicated a preference for concise seasons over extended ones in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

Based on Canadian author Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series, “Heated Rivalry” has garnered critical acclaim, winning awards such as the Peabody Award and the Canadian Screen Award for best drama series. The show’s success led to its renewal for a second season shortly after its initial release in November 2025.

The filming of the second season predominantly occurs in Toronto and Montreal, as reported by the Production List website. Additionally, the show recently announced five new cast members for the upcoming season, generating further excitement among fans and contributors to the “Heated Rivalry” universe.
