Outspoken former judge on Britain’s Got Talent, Piers Morgan, is known for advocating free speech. Despite his outspoken nature, there have been instances where his candidness may have crossed boundaries.
Morgan revealed that just before his meeting with US President Donald Trump, he found out that Trump had been given a dossier containing all the critical comments Morgan had made about him. Trump confronted Morgan, expressing his displeasure at the remarks.
Suspecting that Nigel Farage, who had recently launched a competing show on GB News, had shared the dossier with Trump to sabotage the interview, Morgan needed to salvage the situation quickly. Thinking on his feet, Morgan decided to shift the focus to positive aspects. By praising Trump’s golf skills, specifically his reported hole-in-one during a game, Morgan was able to steer the conversation away from contentious topics.
This change in approach led to a shift in Trump’s demeanor, who then agreed to proceed with the interview. Despite this turn of events, Morgan has not forgotten Farage’s actions, calling him a “treacherous weasel” for undermining the interview.
Morgan recounted how Farage had reciprocated Morgan’s praise after his own interview with Trump but later attempted to sabotage Morgan’s interview as a form of betrayal.
