F1 sensation Oliver Bearman has dismissed rumors linking him to Ferrari amid Lewis Hamilton’s struggles this season. The seven-time world champion has faced challenges with the legendary team, culminating in a disappointing race at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
In Las Vegas, Hamilton’s rough season hit a low point as he qualified last on the grid, marking the first time a Ferrari has held this position since 2009. This has fueled speculation about Hamilton’s future, especially with Haas driver Oliver Bearman impressing in his rookie season.
Despite the ongoing discussions about their futures, Bearman has shown admiration for Hamilton and urged for patience from those pushing for him to join Ferrari.
Bearman achieved his career-best F1 result by securing fourth place at the Mexico City Grand Prix, followed by a sixth-place finish in Brazil, placing him 11th in the drivers’ standings.
When asked about potentially joining Ferrari in the future, Bearman emphasized the unpredictability of media headlines and expressed his focus on delivering consistent results for his team.
Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve praised Bearman’s performance in Mexico, stating that he belongs in the top tier of racing. Paddock legend Kravitz suggested that Bearman could eventually replace Hamilton at Ferrari, following a strategy similar to Charles Leclerc’s transition to the team.
Former Haas team boss Guenther Steiner also endorsed Bearman, indicating that if Hamilton’s performance does not improve, Bearman could be a suitable replacement. Steiner highlighted Bearman’s skill and potential to secure a spot in a leading F1 team if Ferrari does not offer him a seat.
