Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of glitches disrupting viewing experiences started surfacing last week, with users encountering a problem that unexpectedly jumps to the end of TV shows. This glitch causes viewers to be abruptly taken to the credits without using the fast-forward feature on their remotes.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the issue, mentioning that ITV Player consistently skips ahead to the end of episodes, creating difficulty in watching content for several days. Another user, Dawn, also expressed similar problems, noting interruptions while watching ITVX programs.
The technical disruptions seem to affect users utilizing Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. It remains uncertain if Sky Q is also impacted, but the majority of complaints are from individuals using broadband-powered gadgets rather than satellite dishes.
Although the root cause of the issue is unknown, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the problem and assured users that they are actively working on a solution. Kev’s message on the forum indicated that the company is collaborating with ITV to resolve the issue promptly.
While users may currently have to endure the skipping problem, a resolution is expected to be implemented soon. Mirror Online will provide updates on the situation as new information becomes available.
