Virginia Giuffre’s former boyfriend recounted a harrowing phone call he received from her at the age of 17, just hours after she alleged having a sexual encounter with Prince Andrew in London. Tony Figueroa expressed how Virginia was visibly shaken with fear during the call, stating that they both were concerned for her safety amid speculation surrounding Princess Diana’s death.
Describing the distressing conversation in March 2001, Figueroa highlighted Virginia’s trembling voice and their shared anxiety about potential risks to her well-being. On the other hand, Prince Andrew has consistently refuted any accusations of misconduct, though recent disclosures prompted him to relinquish his royal titles due to misleading statements about his association with Jeffrey Epstein.
Recalling Virginia’s disclosure of her encounter with Andrew, Tony revealed her reluctance and distress over the situation. He witnessed her transformation from a lively young girl to a victim of Epstein’s exploitation, as detailed in her posthumous memoir. Virginia tragically passed away at the age of 41, weeks after a car accident.
Tony also shared his involvement in Epstein’s activities, unknowingly facilitating the recruitment of young girls for Epstein. Financial support from Epstein enabled Tony and Virginia’s lifestyle, but as Virginia’s mental health deteriorated, she turned to substance abuse. Eventually, Virginia confided in Tony about her ordeal, leading to a rift in their relationship.
Despite Tony’s efforts to persuade Virginia to leave Epstein’s circle, she felt trapped and frightened. The situation intensified when Maxwell and Epstein proposed that Virginia bear their child, causing significant strain on their relationship. Virginia ultimately distanced herself from Tony, relocating to Australia where she started a family before separating from her husband.
Reflecting on Virginia’s tragic end, Tony urged Prince Andrew to acknowledge his role in her demise and criticized the prince’s dismissal of the authenticity of a controversial photo. Tony affirmed witnessing Virginia obtain the photo near their residence in Palm Beach, Florida. Expressing doubt about Andrew facing consequences for his actions, Tony expressed disappointment at the lack of accountability in the case.
Amidst these revelations, it remains uncertain whether Prince Andrew will testify before the US Congress or face legal repercussions, leaving Tony disillusioned with the prospects of justice prevailing in the matter.
