“Dani Dyer Eyes Return to Strictly After Injury”

Date:

Dani Dyer has revealed that watching the first live episode of Strictly Come Dancing over the weekend was challenging for her. The 29-year-old former Love Island contestant was forced to withdraw from the BBC show due to an injury just before it began.

During a conversation with her father, Danny Dyer, on their Live and Let Dyers podcast, Dani expressed her desire to return to the show in the next season. She mentioned, “My door is open. If they are willing, I will gladly participate.”

Discussing Amber Davies taking her place, Dani shared her confidence in Amber and her dance partner Nikita Guzman. She mentioned how impressed she was with the contestants on the show.

Reflecting on her own injury, Dani admitted feeling guilty and sought guidance from her therapist for the first time since marrying Jarrod Bowen. She mentioned that her therapist helped her gain perspective on the situation.

Describing the accident that led to her injury as a “freak accident,” Dani explained that she initially thought it was a minor issue but later discovered a hairline fracture in her ankle ligaments. Despite exploring treatment options, the Strictly bosses advised against her continued participation due to the severity of her injury.

As Amber emerges as a frontrunner in the competition, some fans have questioned the fairness of her inclusion given her background in the West End and dance experience.
