“Co-op to Launch 11 New Stores Across UK, Including at Brent Cross Town”

Date:

Co-op is preparing to launch 11 new stores this week, covering various locations from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Notably, Co-op will be the inaugural permanent retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.

These new store openings include a mix of brand-new stores, franchise-operated outlets, and revamped locations. This initiative is part of Co-op’s commitment to invest in over 200 new and refurbished stores by 2024/25.

The recent store list adds to the 50 confirmed stores that Co-op is planning to open in November and December, just in time for the holiday season. The company is urging the Government to implement business rates reform in the upcoming Budget.

Kate McCrae, Co-op Operations Director, emphasized the importance of local stores that serve as community hubs. Co-op’s focus is on supporting local communities, creating jobs, and promoting British farmers and suppliers. McCrae also highlighted the need for stable business rate reforms to ensure sustained growth.

In addition to store expansions, Co-op has introduced 200 new personalized offers, enhanced discounts, member-exclusive games, and special deals through its membership scheme. Shoppers stand to save over £90 during October, November, and December, with monthly prizes and entry opportunities for members.

Rachel Halter, Director of Membership at Co-op, expressed the company’s commitment to delivering value to its members. By enhancing personalized offers and introducing popular features like booster offers and in-app games, Co-op aims to provide meaningful savings and rewards to members with every purchase.

Through these strategic initiatives, Co-op continues to strengthen its presence and deliver value to its growing membership base.
