João Pedro Prudêncio Cardoso and Maynara França Schio were on a Yamaha MT-03 motorcycle when they crashed into a black Ford Ecosport driven by Dyonatha Chaves Oliveira, 36, who was believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The teenage couple, who had recently gotten married on August 28 and shared joyful wedding photos on social media, met their untimely demise on the PA-160 highway in Parauapebas, Brazil, at approximately 1 am on a Sunday.
Following medical treatment, the accused appeared in court the next day, facing charges of manslaughter aggravated by intoxication.
