WhatsApp users are in for a treat with a slew of new features designed to enhance the messaging experience. Meta-owned WhatsApp has rolled out updates to emojis, stickers, calls, and Channels, all available for immediate use.
The latest enhancements aim to make emojis more engaging with animated movements when shared in chats. Additionally, a new animated sticker maker feature allows users to transform favorite videos into dynamic stickers. Social stickers with avatars are now shareable in one-to-one chats, limited to contacts with avatars.
Creating group chats is now easier, allowing users to start a group with just a name and later invite members directly or through a link. Users can now caption, react, and reply to multiple media items when sending photos and videos simultaneously.
In the calling department, WhatsApp introduces a dedicated tab for new calls, call link sharing, and call history management, complete with new filters and effects for video calls and photos. The update segregates the Status and Channels tab from personal chats.
In other updates, Channel admins can now add photos to polls for more interactive experiences. Users can now star favorite updates on Channels for easy access. Moreover, mentioning groups in Status updates is now possible, notifying all group members and enabling them to reshare the content.
WhatsApp users are encouraged to explore these new features to elevate their messaging interactions.
