A woman was secured to her airplane seat using duct tape following a strange outburst where she purportedly confessed to attempting to poison her father. This incident occurred after she reportedly assaulted a flight attendant.
Passengers onboard a flight bound for Las Vegas witnessed Ketty J. Dilone causing a scene by shouting and making threats towards multiple flight attendants on September 16, as detailed by the United States Attorney’s Office District of Nevada.
The commotion began when Dilone boarded a flight in Charlotte, North Carolina, during her journey back from the Dominican Republic. Crew members had to resort to extreme measures, including restraining Dilone with zip ties and duct tape due to her erratic behavior.
Despite being restrained, Dilone allegedly lashed out and kicked a flight attendant, leading to the worker falling to the floor. A video shared on TikTok captured her expletive-laden tirade, during which she complained about the restraints causing discomfort.
In a disturbing revelation, Dilone admitted to poisoning her father’s coffee with “roach poison” at the age of 11 with the aim of harming him. She mentioned that the attempt failed and referred to the toxic substance as ‘Tres Pasito,’ known for its potency in exterminating pests like cockroaches and mice, although it is prohibited in the United States.
Upon landing at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport, Dilone was apprehended by the FBI and subsequently taken into custody at the Henderson Detention Center.
She has been charged with interference with a flight crew and assault by striking, beating, or wounding. Dilone appeared in a Las Vegas court on September 18 to address the accusations, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 1. If convicted, she could potentially face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
