Elon Musk has reportedly been mentioned in newly disclosed Jeffrey Epstein documents as a potential guest at the convicted sex offender’s private retreat, Little St James Island.
Recently released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee in the US, the files contain a schedule from December 6, 2014, with a notation stating: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec.6 (is this still happening?).” This entry occurred six years after Epstein’s registration as a sex offender. These revelations emerge amidst increased scrutiny of Epstein’s associations, including the resurgence of Prince Andrew in the same records.
The persons listed were identified as associates of Epstein, with no implication of their awareness of his crimes or involvement in any illicit activities.
Prince Andrew is recorded as a passenger on a private flight from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida, on May 12, 2000. He is listed alongside Epstein, his then-partner and later convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, and two unidentified individuals.
Although details of Andrew’s flight had emerged previously during Maxwell’s trial – with one accuser, then 14, recalling flying with the duke – he continues to deny any wrongdoing.
Musk’s inclusion in the documents follows his public spat with Donald Trump in June, during which Musk advocated for the US President’s impeachment while ridiculing Trump’s ties to Epstein.
During that time, Musk tweeted an assertion that Trump is “in the Epstein files,” suggesting that this was the reason for withholding their public release. He tweeted: “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
He later removed the post, yet the fallout contributed to a brief but notable clash between the tech mogul and the US President, with Trump accusing Musk of spreading false information.
By September, the two publicly reconciled at a memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, though the Epstein documents had already highlighted strains in their relationship.
The records also feature a contentious email from Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, in which she apologized to Epstein for disavowing him publicly, referring to him as a “supreme friend.” Following this email, reportedly sent after Epstein threatened a defamation lawsuit, several charities withdrew their support for the Duchess.
Epstein himself was discovered dead in his Manhattan prison cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges; his demise was ruled a suicide.
